Dining Rewards Programs Reviewed: IGH vs. Hilton vs. Marriott

As you prepare for your honeymoon and begin to think about which hotels you may want to stay in , all of those decisions can work up an appetite. Lucky for you, many hotel systems have incorporated dining reward programs in recent years where you can begin earning points be eating at select restaurants in your city.


Today we’re going to look at three very closely matched hotel brands and their dining reward programs: IHG, Hilton, and Marriott.


IHG


  • Receive 1 point for every $1 spent if you choose to opt out of promo emails.

  • Receive 5 points for every $1 spent if you opt in for promo emails but have 10 or fewer qualifying transactions in a year.

  • Receive 8 points for every $1 spent if you opt in for promo emails, have 12+ transactions in a calendar year.

  • Earn 1,000 bonus points when you spend $30 or more at any participating restaurant within 30 days.

  • Marriott Bonvoy members receive 4 points for every $1 dollar spend

  • Marriott Bonvoy Elite members receive 6 points for every $1 dollar spent

  • If members register a Marriott Bonvoy credit card, they will earn 6 points for every $1 dollar spent, plus the points earned for spend under the card program

  • Earn 1000 points for $30 in the first 30 days, paying with a linked credit card, and then leaving a review
